Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead: Book Review!

Hello, everyone! I'm back with another fun book review! We're getting close to the end of the Vampire Academy Series. This review is of the fifth installment of the series by Richelle Mead. So, let's talk about Spirit Bound, and let's get on with the review!

In Spirit Bound, Rose has made it back to St. Vladimir's Academy after failing in trying to kill Dimitri. She tries to move on with her life, including graduating, starting a relationship with Adrian, and trying to rebuild her image after going rouge. Dimitri is making it difficult with his threatening love letters, and things only get worse when Rose believes she has found a way to bring Dimitri back from being a Strigoi. The only thing is that it requires help from the one and only Victor Dashkov.

There is a lot going on with this novel. Rose is trying to hold onto some kind of hope that Dimitri can come back to her. They decide to break Victor out of prison. Dimitri is constantly trying to kill Rose. Lissa and Chrisitan get kidnapped. Rose tries to get over Dimitri with Adrian. Then at the very end, there is a cliff hanger that leads to the next book. While there's a lot of stuff going on in the novel, it didn't ever feel that way. Everything flowed from one moment to the next.

I haven't talked about a ton about this relationship, but it needs to be said that Christian and Lissa's relationship gets really interesting in this novel. They are still separated from the big fight that happened in the other novel, but they are forced to work together in order to save their friend. It's also nice to see some conflict come in a form other than Dimitri and Rose.

When I think about this novel, there isn't anything that I really dislike about it. It was as enjoyable to read as it was heartbreaking. This is definitely worth the read, and I think I'll give this book five out of five spirit-infused stakes.
