7 Non-Book Gifts for Your Book Lover! - List

Image
Hello, everyone! The season is upon us, and you know what that means! It's time for friends, family, and presents! But what should you get for your favorite bookish giftee? Well, the most obvious answer would be a book. However, if you don't get a list of books from your friend or family member, it's hard to get them a book they'll actually like and one that they don't already have. So, to save you the hassle, I've made a list of bookish items that aren't actually books that your book lover will love! Let's get onto the list! The first idea is for your friend who loves a hot beverage with their favorite book. No, it's not a mug. It's a set of tea, Novel Tea to be precise. It's 25 packets of English Breakfast tea featuring quotes from classic books. At $12.50 a box, it won't set you back too far this Christmas. You can purchase Novel Tea here . Up next is a gift idea for your bookish home owner! It's a quote that goes on your w

Update - Things Are Getting a Little Dicey

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to give you a quick update! Things are getting a little hectic around here with the holidays and work doesn't stop for the holidays. I've also got a couple of exams coming up and a fifteen page paper that refuses to write itself. I need to read a couple of books before exam time, and I'm freaking out a little bit. But come December 9, all I have to worry about is work, which means I'll be able to squeeze in some reading time. So it looks like we won't be getting the TBR list all the way down this month, but no worries! There's always next month! That's it for this post! Bookish Things I'm Thankful For - List!

Image
Hello, everyone! I’m back, and I’m here to give a list of all of the bookish things that I am thankful for. With Thanksgiving approaching, it has put me in a festive and thankful move, and what better way to show it than by making a list of bookish things in which to be thankful. Let’s get started!   First, I’m eternally grateful for my never-ending TBR pile. It’s consistently being refilled with new and imaginative works of fiction that take me to worlds I couldn’t dream of. And while there is a slim possibility of me ever finishing my TBR pile, there is, however, a chance of me finding my next favorite book. I’m very grateful for book-to-movie adaptations. Whether you love them or hate them, they provide us an opportunity to see the worlds we love on the big screen. Sometimes they get it right, and sometimes they break our hearts. But, it starts a discussion about our version and theirs, and it makes me happy to be a part of the conversation. I’m tha

Mockingjay Part 2 - Movie Review!

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to review Mockingjay Part 2 - the movie! I just saw the movie last night, and I can't wait to tell y'all all about it. Just in case you are unaware, Mockingjay Part 2 takes place where Mockingjay Part 1 leaves off. Peeta has just been saved from the Capital, but they have changed him. He thinks Katniss is a mutt who lies and kills everyone he cares about. Katniss has her own problems. She wants to be out on the front lines, but President Coin is holding her back. So who is the true game maker? But enough about that, lets' get onto the review! Let me just say that this movie made me so happy. It was scary, thrilling, emotional, and both character and action driven. Everything was shot beautifully, and the world that they created was fully realized, which, as a fan of the book, was what I looked forward to most in the adaptation. I loved all of the character development that happened throughout the movie. We get to see a t

How to be a Heroine - Bella Swan

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to do another edition of How to be a Heroine! While I will still be continuing the Katniss edition featuring her fabulous archery skills, I figure I would star another heroine that hasn't got a lot of love. In case you haven't guessed, I'm talking about Bella Swan from the Twilight Series. I've always appreciated the way that she takes care of people, even if it doesn't her role. She's the child of Renee and Charlie, but she finds a way to take care of them, including making a great deal of their meals. So today, I'm going to try my hand in the culinary arts and share the results here! Let's get started! About a week ago, I found a really cool website that makes dishes inspired by books! It's called Allison's Wonderland Recipes (you can find it here ), and I'm really excited to try a lot of the different dishes that are featured on the site. I decided that the recipe that I would try first i

Allegiant - Trailer Reaction!

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to react to the Allegiant Official Trailer - "The Truth Lies Beyond" movie trailer! This trailer has just dropped today, and I can't wait to see it. I was really surprised by the characters posters (you can see Tris's poster above), and I'm wondering how it was translated from the movie. I have also seen some GIFs on tumblr from the trailer that has left me with some question marks, but overall, I have no idea what to expect from the trailer. With that said, let's get on to the reaction. Just in case you haven't read any other reactions from me, let me tell you how this is going to go down. I'm going to put the video down below, and then I'm going to type out my thoughts as they happen during the video. Then, I'll talk about the overall feeling of the trailer. Let's get started! Mama Four is starting off with a voice over. Move over, Jeanine! I love how the last movie was like, &qu

Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined by Stephenie Meyer - Book Review

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to review Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined  by Stephenie Meyer! Just in case you didn't know, this is still the story of Bella and Edward except now they're Beau and Edythe. That's right! All of the characters from the original Twilight  story are genderswapped except Charlie and Renee. But was it a stroke of genius or a marketing ploy? Well, let's find out in the review! Let me just say that all of the new names are ridiculous. I don't know if it's because I'm expecting one thing and getting another and that is what is making me anxious or they're actually that weird... I'm going with actually that weird. You can definitely tell who they were before the name change, but it's also definitely very strange. I love how the characters acted the same despite the fact that their genders were swapped. Emmett-now-Eleanor was still the strongest of the coven. Alice-now-Archie was still pushy and exu
