Hello, everyone! I'm back with another book review. This time I'm reviewing Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. It is the second book of the Lunar Chronicles, and it's a science fiction take of the Little Red Ridding Hood fairy tale while also continuing Cinder's story from the first book. Scarlet is searching for her grandmother and meets Wolf, a street fighter on a mission. Together they uncover secrets that is much bigger than either of them realized. But enough about that. Let's get onto the review! I will say at going into this book, I wasn't expecting to see Cinder, Kai, or anyone else's point of view that was established in the first book, but they do come back, whether I like it or not. I said this last time, but multiple point of views kind of bother me. A few I can handle, but with the addition to the new characters of Scarlet , I'm finding myself more and more irritated. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to explain my absence. I was hoping that I would have gotten more things done by the way of the blog, but a lot of things have been happening around here that have stopped me from doing so. Some things were awesome. Some were not so awesome. But I'm here to explain myself as well as tell y'all what to be on the lookout for in the next couple of weeks. Firstly, if you follow me on twitter, you know that I went on vacation to Florida at the beginning of the year. During this time, I was able to get some reading done. I've read through the existing Lunar Chronicles series, but I haven't been able to write reviews for them because I left my keyboard at my house. Since I've been reading so much Harry Potter fanfiction lately that I thought it would be a good idea to make a post about it. Everything featured is $50 or less, and I tried to stay true to the cover. I had to add the red boots for the fabulous witch in the red robes. The glasses are for Harry. The owl represents Hedwig. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and the season of giving is upon us. A few of you may have a bookworm on your list of gift recipients for Christmas, and you don't want to give them the same old Books-a-Million gift card that they seem to get every year. If that's the case, I've got a list of gift ideas that are unique and are sure to make your bookworm's Christmas the merriest it could possibly be. Now, let's get onto the list! First things first. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to review  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them  by Newt Scamander (but really J. K. Rowling).It is (supposedly) a textbook used in Hogwarts as one of their standard texts for teaching Care of Magical Creatures. This book is a copy of Harry Potter's own copy, and it is complete with written notes made by Harry, Ron, and Hermione. It includes a preface by Albus Dumbledore, an introduction into Magizoology, and an A - Z list of magical beasts including detailed description. But enough about that, let's get onto the review!  I found this book surprisingly entertaining. It's supposed to be a textbook, and so I was expecting it to be a little stale, if I'm being honest. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to review The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 the movie! If you're a fan of YA book to movie adaptations and haven't been living under a rock this past week, you'll know that this movie came out this past week making $55 million it's opening day. Not too shabby for another “Part 1” finale of YA movie franchise. But enough about that, let's get to the review! First things first. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm excited to share some news with you today. As you may have read in a previous post, there is a contest going on that's all about Twilight. The Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga contest is rebooting the Twilight Saga on Facebook, and they apparently they need our help. Firstly, it is not based off of the original four books. Instead, they are taking characters' stories from  The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide . I have read this book, and I have to say that I'm really excited for a chance to see some of these characters on screen. There also seem to be different levels of the contest: one where everyone can participate and some that are meant for very specific people. The first level is for everyone.
