So this month has been a bit of a bust. I haven’t read many book or watched that many movies, but the show must go on. Also, as a side note, I haven’t finished any season of any particular television shows this month, but I’ve started a few promising ones that will hopefully be completed in April. But anyway, here’s all the books and movies I’ve conquered this month. The first two books I read this month are The Hanging Tree and Foxglove Summer by Ben Aaronovitch. These books are the 5 th and 6 th book in his Peter Grant series which feature Detective, you guessed it, Peter Grant as he investigates criminal matters in London with a tendency for the supernatural. If you haven’t read my review about the other books of this series, I’ll reiterate. Ben Aaronovitch combines everything that I love within his novels, and does it in such a fashion that you can feel the commitment to his craft with every paragraph. Hello, everyone! I'm back and I'm here to review all of the stories that I consumed this month. Yes, this post is over a month late, but I have plenty of excuses. One: I am exhausted. Two: being an intern is tough. Three: trying to live a normal life is much more difficult than I imagined. So, here I am. I'm late to the game. But I'm very excited to show you what I've read for the month. I hope you enjoy this post! The first two books that I finished this month are The Madness Underneath and The Shadow Cabinet by Maureen Johnson. These two books are the "final" books in the Shades of London series. I say "final" but there has been some speculation that the series has not yet been completed, which I tend to agree with. There are a lot of plot lines that haven't been concluded, and there's a new antagonist introduced in The Shadow Cabinet , and the book basically leaves off with a cliffhanger. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I'm here to continue my series of The Stories I Ate This Month. In case you haven't read my last post, this is basically a list of all of the stories I consumed within the month. This can include books, movies, and television shows. I may add more depending of what happens in each month, but we'll see if that happens. For now, let's get onto the list! The first story that I finished this month was Crooked Kingdom  by Leigh Bardugo, and let me tell you, it is a trip-in the best possible way. Crooked Kingdom is the final book of the Six of Crows  duology, and I cannot recommend  this series enough. It's a con/heist mixed with magic and topped with humor and sarcastic wit. Don't let that fool you though. This novel will also sucker punch you straight in the gut with heartbreak. So there's something here for everyone. Hello, everyone! Today is the last day of the year, and I find myself looking back and asking myself, "Did I accomplish everything I set out to do?" Eh, if I'm honest with myself, not really. I haven't read as much as I would like, and I certainly haven't written as much as I would like. It's either been about work or school or a weird mixture of the two, which left my goals by the wayside. It sucks, to put it plainly. On the other hand, I'm proud of what I have accomplished this year. I've been promoted, maintained my GPA, and had a pretty fantastic time over the year-with a little help from my friends. I'm grateful and blessed, and I hope to multiply my blessings in the new year. There are going to be many new chapters in my life, including my internship, which makes me excited and nervous. But I aspire to hit these chapters head on with a new zeal. So, I'm back. I want to read and write more, and I forgot how much this blog allowed me to ex...
