As you can see, today's Cover Clothes is Alice in Wonderland  by Lewis Carroll. I have Alice's blue dress and strappy shoes. I had to give props to the Cheshire Cat, so I added the watch. Hello, everyone! I'm back to tell you how I'm learning how to be a writer. Just as a disclaimer, this is just some things that I've been learning in my fiction writing workshop. This is just some stuff that helps me. It may not help you, but then again, it might. So with that in mind, let get to what I learned about this week.  This  workshop we talked about paragraphs. I didn't realize that there were different styles of paragraphs. I just wrote and spaced out the paragraphs whenever it felt right to me, which I guess is a style all of it's own.  But let's break down paragraphs. For stores, paragraphs are the way for readers to rest or pace their reading. Francine Prose calls them flashes of lightening, which I thought made them so much more dramatic than anything I thought they were. Some writers purposefully don't use paragraphs so that the chaotic mind of the character comes through the writing style as well as the words used.  One thing we ...

In honor of Banned Book Week, I've come up with a list of books that have been banned in some way or fashion that have changed my life after reading them. I have read each of these books, and they made me changed the way that I look at books and at life. The first set of books is the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. This series is one of the first literary memories that I have. I had read other books before, but I had never obsessed over a series until Harry Potter. My mother actually got them for my brother in hopes that he would read more. She got them on cassette tapes so that my brother didn't have an excuse not to "read" them. He didn't need one because I ended up taking them, spending hours in front of an old boom box listening to a British guy imitating Hermione's voice. Hello, everyone! I'm back with another movie review, and this one is actually on time! Today's review is going to be on The Maze Runner based on the book with the same title by James Dashner. This movie has had a lot of immediate success, but let's see if it's worth the hype. Let's get onto the review! In case you've never read The Maze Runner and don't know what's going on with this movie, let me give you a little break down. Our hero Thomas wakes up in the middle of a gigantic maze knowing nothing of his previous life. Other kids have been trapped in the maze for up to three years without any success of escaping it. When a girl enters the maze, everything changes. They have to fight for their lives and hope the there is life outside the maze. First impressions of the movie is that I enjoyed it. Hello, everyone! I'm back, and I am back with a sort of new series. Really, it's something that I've been doing for awhile, I just haven't had the time to really organize everything. What I'm doing is separating what I've been calling Product Reviews into two groups called Merchadise Reviews and Movie Look-a-Likes. Basically, Merchadise Reviews will be reviews on products that are inspired by a movie but not featured in the movie. Movie Look-a-Likes will be products that were either used in a movie or made to look like a product from a movie.  This post is going to be a merchandise review of The Mortal Instruments City of Bones stele necklace. The pendant is a silver stele that is a miniature version of what Jace uses in the movie. The chain is a simple small link chain with a clasp. This necklace use to retail for $12.99. Hello, everyone! I'm back with another movie review! This is a little late to the game considering the movie I'm about to review come out a few months ago in theaters and last Tuesday on DVD. Still, I feel the need to review this movie due to the sheer awesomeness that it is. That movie is The Fault in Our Stars based off the best-selling novel by John Green. So, I've already read and reviewed the book, and we all know how I felt about it. If you don't, the clip version is I love it, like a lot. It's a beautiful story, and it has such a good message. When you put those two together, you have something really amazing on your hands, but enough about that, let's get to the movie. First off, I went to the movie with high hopes.
